Weekend Question: The Tribulation

There have been many opinions within the church in regards to the tribulation. The tribulation is a time of troubles for the world which includes disasters, famine, war, suffering and death. This tribulation is generally based upon a reading of Daniel 9 & Matthew 24.  Generally the point of debate is when the tribulation occurs in regards to what is called the rapture which is the taking away of God’s people to Christ where they will meet Him in the air. There are essentially three different views in regards to this topic:

  • Post-tribulationists believe that the rapture will not occur until the end of the seven year tribulation and just before to the beginning of the millennial kingdom.
  • Mid-tribulationists believe that the rapture will occur three and one half years into the tribulation, at beginning of the three and one half year great tribulation.
  • Pre-tribulationists believe that the rapture will happen prior to the seven year tribulation, but not necessarily immediately before the tribulation.

We would like to hear from you! Where do you stand on this topic?
