Seventh-Day Adventism

seventh-day-adventist-logo-text-200The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a denomination that grew out of the prophetic Millerite movement in the United States during the middle part of the 19th century. While it contests being a christian church, it has teachings that render it outside the realm of biblical christianity including their important doctrine of the 1844 Investigative Judgment. .The name of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination indicates its two main distinctive characteristics: Sabbath observance on the seventh day (i.e., Saturday) and an expectation that the end of the world is drawing near. There is a very strong adherence to the teachings of Ellen G.
