vtThere have been skeptics throughout history who have disagreed passionately with the existence of a God and especially in recent times where the God of the Christians has drawn a special focus upon atheists, agnostics and pantheists. The attack stems not only from the denial of fundamental historical events related to Christianity but also has drawn its attack on the bible and even the existence of Christ. Presuppositional apologetics is an extension of Reformed Theology which basically questions the skeptics critical tools and demands an answer for how those tools came to exist. It challenges the skeptics foundation and often demonstrates that they are borrowing from our worldview in order to even begin their critique of our beliefs. Some of the most prominent writers in this apologetic method are Cornelius Van Til, Greg Bahnsen, John Frame, Scott Oliphint, Douglas Wilson and James White.
